Panel discussions on FIDIC contracts in organisation of Alumni Academy Pravni fakultet Univerzitet Crne Gore
Yesterday, we had an incredible experience at the discussions on Challenges in #FIDIC contract application. We were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming participation of numerous FIDIC professionals attending.
The event commenced with an enlightening presentation by Srdjan Topalovic, who guided us through the historical transitions in FIDIC contracts and provided valuable advice for contracting with FIDIC.
One of the highlights of the event was the panel on the Application of FIDIC in Montenegro and the effects of exceptional circumstances (COVID-19 and war in Ukraine), which gained significant attention from professionals in the construction industry. We received an insightful overview of FIDIC application in Montenegro from key stakeholders in relevant public authorities, including Vida Ristic (Directorate for Projects at the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning, and Urbanism), Marina Boskovic (Executive Director of ZICG), and Dragutin Sekulovic (Key Manager at PROCON). Additionally, our colleague Ivan Petrovic shared valuable insights from a legal perspective on vis major and price adjustments.
Furthermore, we had an engaging discussion on the role of Dispute Adjudication Boards -DA(A)B in dispute resolution, featuring our Managing Partner Lana Vukmirovic Misic, Srdjan Topalovic, and Dušan Arbanovski. The panel delved into the pros and cons of the DAB process, as well as the practical challenges involved. We extend our appreciation to Nikolina Tomović for skilfully moderating this insightful session.
